Android actually has (intertia) overflow scrolling since version 3.0, with simply overflow:scroll. For some reason there’s no scrollbars however.

@david bradbury. Emoji is now part of modernizer, but it’s clearly not in any of the HTML5 family standards. Now noted.

We have just got our ICS Nexus test devices. Initial impressions are not quite as glowing as yours. Rendering quality has definitely improved, but panning in Bing Maps AJAX control is still clearly NOT hardware accelerated. maps.bing.com and maps.google.com both demonstrate the same deficiencies. Internal javascript scrollers like iScroll also will continue to suffer because of this. We have noticed some bug fixes, but we are seeing flickery redraws and new glitches in forms. Compare with iOS and you see that for all the hefty hardware, the Android ICS software is still letting us HTML5 developers down.

Even if now ICS is behind iOS, I’m confident that Android will much improve over time. So, i’m definitely sticking with Google. I’m looking forward to see the face unlock feature working at it full potential.
