After the recent dominance of mobile native apps, HTML5 is ready to make the mobile web a viable solution for developers. While other sessions focus on the tools developers can use to create their applications, this session will focus on what support AT&T can provide from carrier perspective particularly around marketing, distribution, and network APIs to help developers differentiate and monetize their HTML5 content.

Ed Schmit
Ed Schmit is a Marketing Director with the AT&T Developer Program, where his mission is to provide support and guidance for the developer community. He has been with AT&T for six years. During his career at AT&T, he has co-authored the Wireless Reference Architecture and several white papers while enlightening budding mobile application entrepreneurs through programs like AT&T’s “Open Call”. He is currently very involved with the API Platform. He also has a patent pending for an application delivery platform. Prior to joining AT&T, he worked for Intel for nine years in a variety of roles and while there participating in founding the Khronos Group.
