Sessions:Ariya Hidayat leads the WebKit team at Sencha. He has been a passionate open-source advocate for the last 10 years, and has contributed code to many projects including WebKit, Qt, and KDE. Before joining Sencha, he worked in the Web Technologies group inside the Qualcomm Innovation Center. Prior to that, he worked on the Trolltech Qt Development Framework (now part of Nokia). Sessions:Chris started programming in high school to support his gaming habits, and co-founded Jarv.us Innovations after dropping out of business school so he could keep playing. He started using ExtJS at version 2 to build administration backends for websites, so when Sencha Touch was released that experience enabled him to quickly train and tool his web development team for building cross-platform mobile apps using the skills they’d already tuned. In addition to leading development at Jarv.us, Chris is the architect of the open-source Emergence platform and helps the Science Leadership Academy apply technology to building the ultimate School 2.0.

Sessions:Craig Walker is Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of small business accounting software provider Xero. Xero has over 50,000 customers in over 100 countries and Craig has recently relocated to San Francisco to start the US based office.
Craig currently leads Xero’s software development technology strategy. He has a morbid obsession with JavaScript and not having to use any other language for development (much to the amusement of his colleagues).
Craig and Xero have been keen evangelists of Sencha products having utilized Sencha JavaScript libraries across Xero’s entire product line. An electrical engineer by training, Chandler got hooked on developing database Web applications in the days of NCSA Mosaic and has since written Web applications professionally in a variety of languages, including C, perl, ksh, ColdFusion, Java, JSF, and GWT. Prior to joining Google, Chandler worked on Internet banking applications with Intuit and launched a non-profit startup built with GWT and Google App Engine. Sessions:Laurent is the Technical Director responsible for driving strategy, architecture, open source and community relationships around RIM’s Web Platform. He joined RIM in the Spring 2010 and has been focused on the WebKit browser, WebWorks, Ripple, and recently, experimental projects such as AliceJS. Before that, he was at IBM for 14 years, working on enterprise Web projects such as eCommerce, Web frameworks and tooling, Search and Social Software, and participated in open source strategies in the company. Laurent has been deep in web technologies since the mid 90’s and is an avid JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Java and SQL developer for both Desktop and Mobile. He codes and watches at least one movie every day, and he has funny hair.

Among others, Stephen’s contributions include developing new capability for GetThere, a corporate travel application. With the release of Sencha Touch 1.0, Stephen leveraged both the framework’s MVC and rich Ajax components to create one of the first HTML5 mobile travel applications. The application is industry-recognized, permitting corporate travelers advanced mobile tools to to book flights and hotels. Stephen continues his work to advance design and development of mobile applications for the travel and tourism industry.
