Hi Sencha developers,

I am in the middle of evaluating ExtJs and Sencha Touch for our company web solution.
My question is could Ext Js and Sencha Touch library be mix and match together?
For example:
I would like to have Ext Js's Grid to work with Sencha Touch.

Sincerely,

Handi

No, unfortunately that is not possible. Sencha Touch is highly optimized for webkit and components like grid are incompatible. We are planning on many more components for Sencha Touch, including a grid like component (but again optimized for a mobile device, both in usability and code). This component won't be part of the 1.0 release though.

Hi

I too am evaluating ext js and I am interested in using both ext js and touch version.
I am trying to develop a web page which is usable both from pc and from tablet.
As far as I know the only/best way to do this is writing two distinct versions
of each page (one with extjs, the other with sencha touch) and having something in the homepage
which detects the browsing device and switch to the "right" pages as appropriate.
Am I right ? Or is there a better approach ?
Do you have tutorial or case studies about this (quite common I think) issue ?
Thanks in advance
Bye
Nicola

Hello Sencha Team,

congratulations to Ext 4 release.

Please enchance Sencha Touch with Chart and Grid capabilities. Can it be expected in 2011?

Regards.
