On the Sencha Touch homepage it mentions, "Discover a user's location and display nearby points of interest in our Google Maps component.". Are there any working examples of this or is this still the 20% that is unfinished of Sencha Touch?

Have a look at the twitter example.

I don't see what that app has to do with the Google Maps component? It may be worth mentioning I am specifically interested in "display nearby points of interest in our Google Maps component".

Hmm...after digging around...perhaps you meant the "examples/guide" app? However, while I see tweets in the "Timeline" tab, I do NOT see points plotted on the "Map" tab...my map is simply a map with no plotted points for the tweets.

Yes, sorry I did point to the wrong example.
You are right its the "guide" example.
Works good on my iPhone.
