Panel will not close

Hi,
I just downloaded ext-1.1, and opened up the complex.html under, ext-1.1\ext-1.1\examples\layout.
I am trying to close the south and east panel, but clicking on the cross doesn't do anything.
It will blank out the div content, but will not close the panel.
Am i missing something? Can anyone replicate this. I tried it on my own implementation and the results were the same, it will not close the panel.

It is closing the Panel, but not hiding the region. If you want to hide the region when empty you have to set it up to do so. The config option is "hideWhenEmpty".
