Best widgets for header panel

Totally new to Ext-GWT here...

At the top of my app I need to have a fixed height area with a branding image on the left and a log-out button on the right. I already am using a border layout and am just wondering what to use as the "north" widget...a horizonalPanel or what??

For the graphic, should I just use an HTML widget and concat my own a/href/img string?

Hi

I believe that you are looking for something like you see in the Explorer (Demo page). Just search for the class AppView in the samples which you downloaded with the gxt.jar.

Search for the method createNorth().. this one creates the header of the Demo app.

Thanks for the tip. I use Maven to get the gxt.jar and hadn't looked in the distro for any samples. Now I see them and it will help a lot. Thanks.
