Stupd firebug question

This is a stupid question, but I have read as many threads and docs and code, but I am at a loss to figure out how to do this.

The problem is that any normal XHR request is displayed in Firebug, but I am at a loss to get that with extJS to appear in the console...

Is there something I need to switch on, or is it that these request are not available in the ext1.1 general release?

What code/example are your running? Not all examples use XHR. Also, make sure you are running on a web server (http://...) and not running the file directly (file://....). If you can't figure it out, please post more detail about what you're doing.
