Hi,

Just a little confused about the SenchaTouch framework. Is this framework used for creating Web Mobile apps or does it actually allow us to create apps that an Apple devices can download and installed.

Thanks for any help.

This is a framework for creating mobile web apps to be viewed via the device's browser. However, you can use framework wrappers such as http://www.appcelerator.com and import Sencha Touch to use in your app.

Hope that helps :)

I think since version 1+ Appcelerator does not support external frameworks. You can't import and use such frameworks since all of them are stepping heavily on "document" usage and Appcelerator does not allow that.

I tried using even core Mootools in Appcelerator Mobile 1.4 (just class definitions) and it was still not creating properly classes.

Check out Phonegap, it plays nicely with Sencha and lets you deploy to Apple, Android & the new Blackberry Torch with the same Sencha Touch codebase, just different app wrappers.
