Hi There,

I am trying to set up a function to fire via the move event on a slider form element. I am not sure if I have constructed the listener properly so I am trying to test it.

If I were writing in JavaScript I would simply call the alert method with a hello world string as a simple test. Can someone please provide any kind of function / code that I will be obvious when it is being called properly?

I have plenty of Web Dev. Experieince, but I am new to Sencha Touch so feel free to assume I know next to nothing b-(.

Thanks in advanced for your help.

Isn't it great the creative juices that can flow sometimes by just asking a questions...

For those playing at home this code will cause a simple pop up, if you call it properly:

Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'hello world.');

There is probably a simpler one, but even I can get this one to work ;-)

FYI - you can still call alert(), iOS will display it no problem, and it's good enough for debugging.

So it does, isrealidanny. Thanks for clarifying.

I made the classic mistake of thinking that I had a problem using the alert function when my problem is actually configuring my slider move event properly.
