emptyText in List not working?

SenchaTouch 0.97 beta:
I have a list and would like to display a text when the data/store is empty.

When I add "emptyText: 'no data available'" it does not display a text. :(
Any suggestion?

Did you try setting deferEmptyText (http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/touch/docs/source/DataView.html#cfg-Ext.DataView-deferEmptyText) to false?
