Hello guys,

i have found that JSDoc 2 is starting in development right now, it is pretty interesting because the engine is written in Javascript! Has any1 experiences with it? Has any1 made a template for it?

Here you can find the SVN for JSDoc-2: http://jsdoc-2.googlecode.com/svn.

Im interested on Jacks JSDoc template with yui-ext documentation is created! Is there a way to get it?

I haven't figured out how I will distribute the doc parser being used for yui-ext. My guess is it will be bundled with js builder when it is ready.

jsdoc-2 should be interesting. I fooled around with implementing the parser in JS and I ran into two problems: speed (it's slow!) and file access is a pain.

Yes, it can be very slow. I will try to figure out how fast the javascript sources are parsed out if i have time maybe this weekend, letz find out how it works, and then letz see the possibilities. I know Animal doesnt like it , but maybe the conversion from the parsed data to nice html can be done simple and fast TrimQuery. If i get anything i will let you know!

Do any1 have jsdoc.pl translated on another language? To configure pearl and jsdoc in windows sux, and im sure that many windows users try to get sick by getting it run (google knows all but not all knows google). Are there other tools for documenting javascript with the possibility of templating?

There's always natural docs but I didn't use it because of it's non-standard syntax.
