Design pattern for supporting iPhone and iPad layouts in the same app

Is anybody able to post code or a link to an example showing how to support both iPhone drill down style layouts and iPad 2 column layouts within the same application, automatically selecting the appropriate layout based upon device detection.

Take a look at the Kitchen Sink demo. If that's not exactly what you want you can look at how they accomplished the UI based on device and even orientation.
