Grid performance issue

We are trying to load a grid with approximately 50 rows and 100 columns. This leads to a considerable increase in load time for the grid. Could you please suggest some strategies to decrease the load time.

You can for example create a custom GridView that is doing the same than LiveGridView or bufferedView but also for the columns.
