I don't think I conveyed what I was trying to say by my last post (assuming why it was closed) very well. Have you guys looked into creating a mobile forum for THE Sencha forums? And no, not Sencha Touch, I'm talking specifically about being able to read the forums in a mobile format on an iphone or any other smart phone.

I think it's kind of ironic that Sencha Touch is available for mobile phones, but there is no Sencha Forums available for mobile devices. I've searched for one for the iphone and haven't found one yet. Any plans on adding one (i.e. to forum runner or something) ?

My phone, iPad, and iPod render it just fine. I type out code on them too.

My apologies that your thread was closed prematurely. We don't have immediate plans to build out a mobile version of the Sencha Forum, but we are not opposed to it in the future.

The next phase of Project Oolong (http://www.sencha.com/blog/project-oolong-the-sencha-website-redesign/) is to build a mobile version of most of our online properties. Stay tuned! :)

You don't need to do anything but install their extensions on the server.

The app costs $2.99 in the app store.

Or you can pay $999 and have a custom Sencha Mobile app branded and customized by them.

Not to shamelessly promote my own blog (**cough**), but I posted a thread to the Sencha Touch forums a few weeks ago:

I basically tried to copy the ExtJS forum browser using Sencha Touch, just as an academic exercise. It isn't anywhere near 100% functional, but I think that was more along the lines of what you had in mind.

I'd love to contribute to the effort, btw. :D

I forgot to mention...

The $999 version, Sencha makes all the $$$ for sales in the app stores.

I have zero affiliation with those guys, the app is just awesome.

@jay: No problem. I don't think I did an extremely good job explaining and one would think the first thing to come to mind when you mention "mobile" would be Sencha Touch. Also, thanks for the update!

@mschwartz: I've been using http://www.forumrunner.net/ for most of my forums I like to read. I assume this would be similar.[/URL]

@arthurakay: Cool app! I would definitely like to give it a try when done!

I have to second the vote for putting the forums at least into Sencha Touch. When accessing the forum from my DroidX Android phone, it is basically impossible to use. It would be great if you could create a Sencha Touch MVC version as a demo. We really need more MVC demos and this would be a perfect project.
