treepanel reload or refresh with save stateful

I have a timer here that will call the service to get new treestore.
Problem is I can't refresh the treepanel and retain it expanded once refresh.

Any idea? Pls. provide code snippet.

I tried using stateful and set to true and with state id but won't work.
