Create a file or directory on Server

Hi,
Is it possible to do the following on the server using GXT?
- create a file or directory
- run batch files

Or is it a limitation of GWT? If so, are there any alternatives?

You can upload files by using a servlet.
So, this is not directly related to gxt nor gwt...
