Meetups in Munich/DE would be great. I'm located about 45min away, but driving or flying to Frankfurt or Hamburg on a regular basis would be less cool by far. Do you know nice locations in town where we could sometimes use beamers/laptops without being stared at as if we were dinosaur food commercials? ;)

Sorry for the Late reply, i had some days off(line). I'll be there, June 3rd, 18:30h, Residenzstrasse. Thanks for organizing and for the possibility to use your company's rooms. Is there a sign stating the way to your rooms?

Do you have any other ideas or wishes what we could discuss and/or do on Friday?

Some of my ideas (which does not imply i have a clue of what to say then ;)):
Share thoughs on...

ExtJS4 migration experience
creating apps running on the same code base while being rendered by ExtJS for desktop OR by Sencha Touch for mobile clients
(yourOwnIdeaHere)

Looking forward to Friday :)

Thanks for a marvelous first Munich Sencha meetup (and thanks of course for the pizza and the drinks). The next ExtJS and Sencha Touch meetup in Munich will Be on July 27, 2011 at 6:30pm, again at Residenzstrasse 7, München (preliminary but with high probability ;)). Save the date and please feel free to make suggestions for the agenda.

Our hashtag is #SenchaMuc :) Please use this for tweets.

When a meeting in France?
Pandaranol, the best place to look for a meeting in France is probably that thread over there (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?121530-Meetup-Directory-tell-us-about-your-groups!).
This thread here is just for the Munich meetup.
Good luck!

Hi DiscoBoy,
as this was our 1st meetup in Munich, we didn't have a set agenda so far. tobiu showed his performance-optimized tobiuGrid implementation, thorben showed his model-based code generator, Ice showed a special TreeGrid implementation they use in his company. Please suggest topics for next time, prepare something if you like, we're keen to listen to you. We'd be glad to have you (and everyone reading this) on board at the next meetup on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 (probably at same location as last time, this info is preliminary).
Best regards & enjoy the weekend

Thx for the info. Sounds interesting..my main concern would be app design/architecture with ExtJS 4. Hope I can make it to the next meeting.

Are beginners here also welcome? I have very little experience in ExtJS4 development so in the first sessions it's more learning for me. I use ExtJS4 not commercially but I plan to port a very old application I have written some time ago to a complete new experience by using ajax technology.

Here for me it would be interesting to hear how you should structure an application using extjs4.

Hi idefix,
of course you're explicitly welcome, sure! For my part, I haven't worked with 4.x so far either, and I know at least one of the participants of the last meetup who hasn't any real-world ExtJS4 experience either. So please do bring your questions along!

I think "How to structure my application" is just the right question to start with Ext JS 4 development. It will certainly guide you through all those new docs ;). Definitely an interesting topic.

We're all new to Ext JS 4 development and I think we all have the same problems and questions. So of course, you're welcome!

See you then!

Is it some kind of a loose meeting (biergarten) or is it some kind of conference?

tobiu

something between both worlds!

if you have any topics you would like to discuss or stuff you would like to present let us know.

As tobiu already said: something in between. The last (first) meetup was like this: We were 4 people discussing various ExtJS topics for about two hours in a conference room, discussing ExtJS and last year's SenchaCon AND eating Pizza for about an hour and then having a drink in a beergarden nearby for about another two hours. Telling your friends you will be home by midnight might be a good idea ;)

Just a reminder, since the next meetup is already next Wednesday.

Residenzstraße 7

It would be perfect if everyone who is attending could give us a note here for organizational reasons.

I am going to present a first sneak preview of my latest project :)

For the markus part, i hereby confirm and will maybe (50%) will bring a colleague with me. I've been offline deliberately for five days because i don't have a mobile data plan that covers the Netherlands... so sorry for the delay.

See you in 47 and a half hours :)

Thanks again for yesterday's nice meetup! We were 10 people this time. Hey, that's a 150% growth within seven weeks. That means we're growing faster than Sencha Inc. itself does. Guess they need to open a German branch soon...

The next Sencha Meetup in the Munich area will be on Friday, September 16th, 2011 at 18:30, that's 6:30pm CEST for those from far far away ;)

The location is yet to be defined. Stay tuned.
tobiu, could you please change the thread's title again?

Remember our hashtag? It's #senchamuc :)

Already solved some problems I had yesterday on the way back to Stuttgart this morning... thanks to new inspirations!

Thanks again for hosting at your company! Cya

i changed the title and content of the first posting, but somehow the title still gets displayed in the old version. strange!

refined labs would love to write a topic on their company blog about our meetup, sad we forgot to take some pictures.

if anyone of the attendees would like taking part on writing it, let me know!

Hi everyone!

we're currently experiencing some problems in changing this thread's title for the next meetup. For information on the third Sencha Meetup in the Munich Area please follow this link to this new thread (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?142329) and consider this thread here as obsolete.
