getting grid data if we know container div

Hi guys
I am facing a big problem from getting grid contect from the a html div.
I know the div id , and i want to know the data in the grid .

how to get the grid and the data in it , we know the container div?
like
alert(div.grid.data)

The container id isn't going to help you. You will need a reference to the grid object.
