View Full Version : Thoughts On A Right Click Menu

If you're developing a web application, not a website, per se, do you think it's acceptable to have a right click menu? (Other than the one the browser supplies, obviously) To my knowledge there is no way to append the normal menu, so overriding it would be the only choice.

Just kind of thinking out loud here...

Yes, I think context menus are great. Most of the components expose context menu events.

yeah I was going to post a new thread about this. But I think this should be a main feature in 3.0 ( said to be released towards the end of 2008 ) If anyone created a right-click menu for Ext JS please let me know

It's call Ext.menu.Menu. You can show it where you want in a contextmenu event handler.

Context menus are a must in all applications, can you think of any that dont have a right click menu??

I would but most of it doesnt make any sense to me im more of a php guy AJAX/JavaScript is new to me.
