HTMl Layout suggestion or alternative

I have 6 buttons I want to place say within one Carousel item section, these will be laid out as three on top and three below. Now I currently have this or am doing this via the html tag using a normal html table syntax.

Is this possible via the js setting within for EG a 'grid' system that lets you set rows and cols and the content within, as buttons/images or html etc, or is the html table/div way the best.

I am seeing that some on the forum have used either nested hbox/vbox panels using a loop or XTemplate to write out either a panel.. or HTML div's and layout using CSS.

Do a search on the forum for "button grid" to find a few options about this. I also found a talk about a written plugin at http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?120551-iPhone-Style-Desktop
