*** This thread should be deleted. I assumed the last shipped developer preview was using 4.1 for it's Docs app while it wasn't the case and the docs was still running on 4.0.7. ***

Hi,

I already posted (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?145192-Sencha-Docs-Unacceptable-performances-in-IE-8) about Docs poor performance with 4.0 in IE 8. I was hoping to see an improvement in 4.1, but it's not the case. Booting the app fresh still takes ~19 sec of JS crunching while switching between two class tabs takes ~3 sec.

You can find attached to this post the results of the profiling for both operations. The .zip contains two .csv files.

Did you manually replace the extjs script? When I check locally the Ext version is 4.0.7 for the 4.1 docs.

Ext.versions.extjs.version
"4.0.7"

Thanks for pointing this out. I just assumed it was using the lastest version... I went a bit too quick on this one!
I have tried to replace ext-all.js with the new version but that leads to some errors. I have fixed some of them, but there was a new one poping up each time, so I just stopped trying.

I see this is already resolved but wanted to add a little context. The 4.1 PP is definitely pre-beta so we didn't want it in our production systems so we didn't push it out into the docs.

We did of course try it out and it's like night and day running on 4.1, especially startup and tab switching. We'll push that out as soon as we feel a little more confident with the build.
