As a company who deals exclusively with American schools, we are stuck supporting older versions of IE... 75% of our traffic is mainly IE8 and IE7. We were upset after trying to upgrade to 3.x and seeing the horrible performance for IE7 and were disappointed after attending this SenchaCon and seeing how Sencha seems to be just moving on from older IE support and even the desktop in general (mobile is the future for this company). Even the new 4.1 is absolutely unusable in anything older than IE9.
We realize that returning to the performance of 2.3 is a pipe-dream, but then we stumbled across this project from Google. We have been watching it over the years and were unable to use it due to most teachers not having administrative rights on their computers. Over the summer, Google released a new version that allows for non-admins to install the plugin... hopefully this will give us the ability to start pushing it to all our users still stuck on older versions of IE and also give us an upgrade path to start using 4.x
We started testing our ExtJS 3 application with Chrome Frame installed on an IE7 box and the results are amazing... we only ran across a few bugs (one big one involving double-clicks), but have managed to get it running with a few overrides. We were wondering if anyone has had any luck using it on a large scale, or has any thoughts on implementing/using it?

Thanks,
Joe
