newbie question

What's the best approach to displaying a tree where individual rows have some editable, some non-editable fields and where some model items may be represented by a checkbox or a pulldown list? Are there any widgets that are smart enough to represent such items as the correct logical type if the model field is respectively a boolean or a list?
