Button height in ie 7

I am experiencing a weird behavior in IE7 where buttons on toolbars are rendered way taller than the styled height. What I mean by this is the toolbar will appear 45 px high and the button "appears" 22 px high but is actually 45 px high. This is causing a weird layout issue. It looks fine in ff and chrome but I'm forced to work in ie. I can upload a screenshot if that helps.

What version of Ext JS 4 are you using and a small code snippet?

I'm using 4.02a. Tried 4.07 too. Same results. So I did some more troubleshooting. I found the 960 grid is system is the culprit. Well. Specifically the text.css.
