Uncaught TypeError

A small sample app that works with Extjs 4.0.7 now gives the following error under 4.1.pr1:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'save' of undefined

It uses "direct".

Can't run the example without MySQL example and don't have a dump.

Did you find the solution to that error. I am getting the same error
