closing and reopening portlets in porlet example

Hi, is it possible to close a portlet and reopen a portlet in portlet layout sample example provided in extjs examples...

Is it possible to set a menu button at portlet header region and enable(to reopen) the buttons, if the portlet panels are closed.
If the button clicked, the portlet panel must be rendered to the previous position.

You can remove and add portlets all day but you want the last position to be known?

What do you mean close? Like remove from the portal?

yes if i remove a portal from the portlet where there are 4-5 portals. i want to reopen those portals on click of a button. how can i do this using ExtJs.
