Hi,
I am new to GWT. I am having an issue with database connection while running my GXT application in the debugger from Eclipse. I have added the jar file mysql-connector-java-5.1.18-bin.jar to the WEB-INF/lib folder and also added it to the build path (Libraries).
I am able to do the following.
1) Build the project
2) Run the data access class as a stand alone app and access the database
3) deploy the project on a standalone Tomcat server and access the database.
However, I get a connection error when I run it in the Debugger.31553. Are there any specific config details that I need to do run it in the GWT debugger. Does anyone know of any links on how to configure connections to a database from GXT via the Eclipse IDE.
Thanks

This problem is not related to GWT/GXT/ Eclipse.

Take a look in some mySQL forums.

It is a GWT/GXT/Eclipse configuration issue.
I am able to access the database from eclipse as a stand alone application and also from a tomcat server on the same machine for the gxt app. However it does not work in Eclipse while debugging the GXT app. I do no thing it has anything to do with MySQL. Is there anything specific that we need to do in the configuration for GWT/GXT/Eclipse to access the database in the debugger.
