I'm creating my first large ext-js web application and I have a question about creating a client-side session object.

In other web applications that I've built in the past, when the user authenticated via an AJAX request I would create a "user object" with properties returned by the server specific to each user. I would then serialize this object and store it as JSON in a cookie to be used by my application later. Is there an equivalent way of doing this with ext-js? Thanks!

You can still use cookies, it is the more cross-browser solution. Server-side is still the more preferred way.

Okay cookies it is then, I use a combination of server-side session data (using a database to store session properties for security) and the non-sensitive data I share with the client for easier client-side access.
