slower rendering when app is large

question on how the extjs widget script finds the html tag to renderTo.

if the app is very large and have a lot of tags with ids, does it mean a very long search time to find the named tag (meaning using the id in renderTo: id)?

I have trying to decipher why a page is rendering so slowly. An similar page inside iframe renders much faster.

renderTo can take an element or an id. If it is an id it will use Ext.get to get the element with that id which uses document.getElementById which is native JavaScript.

It all depends on how you've setup your app, what you're rendering, what browser you're using, etc.
