Designer overwriting implementation files

Since switching to Sencha Designer 2 the software overwrites my implementation files.

I tried both editing the implementation files in the folder where my Designer project resides and the files in the deployment folder. The former get overwritten everytime I hit Save and the latter every time I hit Deploy.

Is it no longer possible to use an external editor with Designer 2.x? Or what am I doing wrong?

Yes, afaik this is intended behavior.

When saving a project Designer "own" that folder.

I think you have to extend/override the classes if you want to work in both designer and with an external editor.

We are changing this behavior to be more like Designer 1. Stay posted for updates...
