Menu expands upon hitting enter in firefox

On my page, I have a form and a menu. If the user hits enter inside one of the text elements IE will submit the form. OTOH, firefox expands the first menu item. Has anyone experienced this or know how I might be able to fix it? I am running extjs 1.1.1
