I am noticing in my Chrome inspector that override classes are not being loaded at all.

What is the expected behavior here?

Override classes are loaded when you have created an override and there is a change from your override than the default generated override.

Your override should appear in a requires statement in the designer.js file (Application Entry Point).

Ah ha.

I had already added things to Application's requires statement as a custom property via the component config panel, which created two requires statements, the later of which (mine) was only being loaded.

It would be nice to be able to define custom loads in Appliation/designer.js, but I can understand why that may not be optimal.

Currently this is not possible, but we will be adding something in the future for it.
