Feature Suggestion: richer text editing ability for Templates in Sencha Designer 2

Hi all,

The beta version of designer 2 is really nice ; I've been trying it out for about a week now. One feature suggestion is to make the template string editing richer. I would like to see the ability to edit the template string for a component directly in the text editor part, and it would be really great if that text editor could include helpers/code completion for template specific syntax, such as for loops, conditionals, and also the variables available, such as xindex. ability to include custom template functions, as we can in XTemplate, would be cool too. Currently, editing the template in the small text area of the property editor is quite difficult.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It's coming! Initially we will be making a simple enhancement which allows you to add a template node in the inspector. When you activate that node you will get a full editor in the middle in place of the code editor.

The code completion stuff is also on our mind but will not be coming for quite some time.
