sencha generate app not working

Hi

I'm just looking at the 'get started' video here (http://vimeo.com/37974749), in which the begin with:


$> sencha generate app GS ../GS

In the tutorial code is generated, but when I do this, nothing happens. I'm using a mac, and when I run 'sencha' without options it outputs the following:


Sencha Command v2.0.0 Beta
Copyright (c) 2012 Sencha Inc.

usage: sencha COMMAND [ARGS]

The available commands are:
build build a JSB project
create bootstrapdata generate boostrap data
create jsb generate a minimal JSB project for an app
create locale generate a template locale file from source
create manifest generate classes manifest
package package your Touch web app into a native bundle
slice theme slice a custom theme's images for IE

See 'sencha help COMMAND' for more information on a specific command.

There is no generate options. So the questions is how to do this ?

seems not possible at this time. Does anyone know when we can scaffold and build native apps again ?

It worked for me (on Windows).

Do you run the sencha generate app command in the directory of the SDK?

I just tested it on windows, same result. Are you using Sencha Touch 1.x ?
Furthermore, it seems not to depend on where I execute the program. Do you experience that 'generate' is not working when executing the program from somewhere else ?

BTW, I'm using 2.0.0-Beta

I think I figured out the problem. Hopefully the sencha command will have error messages added in the future.

In order to run the "sencha generate app" command, your current directory must be the Sencha documentation directory, the one that has the following contents:

builds
command
docs
examples
getting-started.html
index.html
license.txt
microloader
pkgs
release-notes.html
resources
sencha-touch-all-debug.js
sencha-touch-all.js
sencha-touch-debug.js
sencha-touch.js
src
touch.jsb3
version.txt

I would love to know why this is. Let us know if that helps!

thats it. I tested first with sencha-touch-2-rc2 which didn't work

But downloading sencha-touch-2.0.0-gpl (http://www.sencha.com/products/touch/download/2.0.0/) your tip did the trick!!
