Hi!

I'm developping a web application with Sencha 2.
In this application, I need to download and upload files.
These methods are provided by web services of my server.
1 - I didn't see a upload component in the sencha 2. Must I use a simple html upload to do that ?
2 - When I download a file how can I access to the local storage of the hardware?

Is there any examples to illustrate this?

Thank you.

mobile devices don't widely use an upload component. Android has some support but iOS doesn't and I wouldn't think it will.

You can download a file depending what it is.

Thanks Mitchell.

You think it will not possible to upload a file even if the app is installed on iOs ?
When I download a file I want to save the content into the local storage.
Currently I can download a file and display its content.
How to download a file and save it ?

Thanks.

PhoneGap has a plugin to upload files.

If it is a file that contains just text then you can use an Ajax call to "download" the file and then just save it to localstorage.

Hi,

For the upload :
I'll have a look to phonegap for the upload component.
However, if I go on a web site that permits uploading, if I click on the upload standard html button from my mobile, I can see a window from where I can browse my local files... (it is not an application installed but a web site).

For the download:
From my laptop (Windows), when I download a file, it asks me where I want to save it.
So I can browse into my local drives to save the file (it is my browser that manages this behavior)
We can't do the same thing on a mobile phone with Sencha 2 ?
I want to download and save a binary file into my phone.
How to do that ?

Thank you!
