When you have a larger number of columns in a grid the currently selected sort column can be a little hard to spot (using the XP style at least). It would be nice to highlight the sorted column a little more obviously than with just the sort direction image. Something along the lines of what the file manager does in Gnome (Nautilus) & in some versions of Windows IIRC - giving each of the entries in that column a slightly darker background colour. Failing that, having the ability to change just the column header background colour (similar to the mouseover) would be good.
