I am new to EXTJS, we have created an application using EXTJ 4.1

Since the site has its own html header and html footer, I am rendering the app to a DIV in the HTML page, using renderTo in Container... i couldnt use Viewport as it always render to the Body,

Container doesnt support automatic resizing, like viewport does, is there any other option for automatically resizing the screen,

one more problem i am facing is that the FOOTER is floating, its defined below the div of the app, but still when the scroll bar comes, the footer stays viscible and hence its floating over the app,

I hope both my problems are of the issue, can any one provide me a solution?

You can use the following:

// track browser resize
Ext.EventManager.onWindowResize(panel.doLayout, panel);

The panel can be your container.
The idea here is that when you resize your browser, your container that is inside your div will follow along.
