slick move Jack! I'm pretty sure Ext's userbase will grow faster with that!

Since I hate change that makes me have to do more work, I'm wondering just how this all will shake out. Is Jack breaking the association with YUI in favor of more independence? I saw the naming will change from Yui-ext to simply Ext. (Just name it "Jack's cool stuff" ) Though I find the work Jack has done incredible, I like the stability (or perceived, at least) that comes with association with YUI. New features are great, but not when massive refactoring is required.

Just curious how this is going to look.

Thanks Bernard. It should be great to have base lib independence.

Curt,
The API for Ext will not change at all. It will just be another option for people using Ext. I will handle the compat layer in the background.
