hi there,

i don't know how to explain but i want to make an "photo wifi" like app. (iPhone app)
for those who don't know this app: the app reads the ip address and - i think - opens a new port where user can access the service/app. i don't know how it works - is something like that possible?
if so, can someone give me some key words to google around?

greets,
mike

Are you talking about a web app or a native app?

Oh yes, i want to make a web app with sencha touch. if this is not possible, can anybody tell me how this could technically work or give some keywords to google around?

Not sure I understand your requirements. But if you have a local server running on your machine/pc where your sencha touch app runs in a browser (localhost/appfolder) and you have a wifi running, then you can point your mobile to the ip address of your machine/pc (f.e. 192.0.0.5/appfolder) and just use the app.

no, i want to create a "server" on iPhone and want to access it over ip address.
the iphone app is only a site (list with some informations) running on iPhone and i want to open this app/site over wifi from mac/pc or other smartphone.

i hope it's clearer :)

I see. Well then I'm not the right one to help you. Sorry!
