We've developed and are marketing an SaaS Dashboard application using Ext JS 4.1 and Rails, http://otusanalytics.com/index.html. We looked at the new SOAP data connection but find that none of our customers use SOAP. So for now, we've added the ability to simply upload a new data table (grid template in Excel or CSV) to update data by overwriting the existing table but keeping all of the IDs so that the widgets, http://otusanalytics.com/widgets/DashboardSoftwareWidgets.html, are updated with new data, http://otusanalytics.com/wp/?p=180.

Our target market are small organizations that don't have the funds to either buy Dashboard/BI tools or pay for internal development. What suggestions do any of you have on how we should be adding the ability to connect to source data within the organizations that use our cloud app?

Is this an Ext JS question?

Yes. Given that we have Ext JS data grids that exchange data with our PostgreSQL data base but require data input either manually or, now, from an uploaded CSV file, what other ways can be easily implemented to allow users to connect to their data sources. SOAP looked like a good candidate but we don't find our users are setup for SOAP connections. Just looking for ideas on what we need to be looking at for offering users the ability to pump data into their data grids.

Thanks.
