Hi,

I'm currently evaluating ExtJS and so far, really like what I see. I was initially attracted by the quality of the widgets, but I really like the modeling and data store features as well. The "problem" is, I'm still looking to use these features in a widget-like fashion. Most of the documentation assumes a single-page app and I definitely won't have that. I've gotten by so far with gratuitous use of "renderTo", but I have no clue how I'm going to assemble my ext-all.js file currently.

So, I guess my question is is anyone else successfully using ExtJS like this? Am I just asking for trouble? And is this a well-supported path?

Thanks,
Kevin

There's a whole bunch of useful guides:

http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!/guide

Specifically:
http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!/guide/layouts_and_containers

http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!/guide/mvc_pt1
http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!/guide/mvc_pt2
http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/4-1/#!/guide/mvc_pt3

Thanks. There's a lot there and I must've overlooked those docs. I guess this means it is a supported option then, which is great news.

Certainly is. You also might want to check out some of the code for the examples,

Desktop
Simple Tasks
Feed Viewer (both MVC & not MVC)
