Best practises for singleton

Hi,

I am developing sencha based application and want to know what are the best practises for using singletons and what is the criteria to use singletons ?

navigation views (front and back) and lot of message dialog boxes and selection panels. what items does actually qualify for singletons /

any tutorial or documentation to follow regd. this ?

A singleton basically takes the class definition and creates an instance of that class and puts it on the class name. I'm not sure what more you would like to know.
