Tree node flickers/flashes the content before expand event

I have a tree panel with a single column of xtype 'treecolumn' and it has a renderer.

When I exapnd any node in IE8 browser(os:- windows 7), the content of the children node flashes/flickers first before it expands and then displays the children contents.

But this doesnt happen with Firefox/Chrome/Safari.

Any lead on this issue will be of great help.
