While the Ext API browser is a great tool, there are a few issues.

For once, its hard to find. It would help if a direct link would be in the top navigation or the homepage, or at least a much more prominent link on the LEARN page. Currently I have to go to learn, scroll down, and look for the right version. Considering that this happens daily for a ton of people, an improvement here would make the world a better place :-)

A bug I noticed: The "Defined in: ..." links are all broken. Eg. they point to something like http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/src/Ext.js which just yields the extjs.com startpage.

Thats it for now, but I'll add more if I find something.

As for the online docs, I imagine the hope is that people will run the copy that comes with the Ext download, also there is a new slick AIR version (http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25374) that runs extremely quickly.

Usually I have Ext included in a project and the download not at hand. So the online version is still very important.

It would help a lot already to put the link to the current API in the blue box on at the top of the learn page!

I don't understand what is difficult. You could always bookmark the API documentation.

One thing that I think is good with the current setup is that someone totally new to things would be subjected to some of the great overview and intro documentation before directly jumping into the API docs. In my oppinion they are only useful after you have a basic grasp of things already.
