Max Width to Portal

Hi all

Please help me on this, I am trying to use this example

http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples/portal/portal.html

Is there a way to set a MAX-WIDTH to the PORTAL so that the portlets that are defined insie that don't expand beyond a certain region, but they do contract if the page width is small or at a low resolution???

I am trying to do this since a while now and can't figure out a way :s. Any help would reallly be appreciated!!!
