I'm happy to announce that there is a new project using Ext JS. A few hours ago I published the code for PHP-Ext 0.8, a PHP Widget Library using Ext JS. It is published in http://php-ext.googlecode.com as LGPL. It still under development but I decide to publish it to get as much feedback as possible from the community.

Please visit the project's page and download it so you can give it a try. Soon the official website will be released. I need comments and suggestions on the work. This is my first open source project so any advise and help will be welcome.

I hope this project can help other build nice RIA in PHP as it has done with me.

Regards,

Sergei

Thank you Dennis for your reply, its nice to know the project really works for someone other than me. There are some things missing yet but the basics (Panels, Forms, Grids, Menus & Toolbars) are there to use even if the samples are not ready yet. I suggest you check out the API Documentation until the samples and programming reference is ready. ;)

I'll be glad if you can join the Discussion Group at http://groups.google.com/group/php-ext to further discuss your opinion about the project.

By the way :D, the project website its up and running now:

Hello Dennis, just a question, by saying "PHP5 & ZF Style code" you mean I should use Phpext_Data_JsonStore for class naming? If thats what you mean, let me tell you I'm really considering making that change. Maybe you can post your suggestion on the Discusion Group (http://groups.google.com/group/php-ext) so other people on the community can vote or something like that

Thanks a lot, Sergei,
it's really good
My project has many JS functions for get params and works about PHP, Template Engine and JavaScript. Now I stoped this way and start work with your code, so it's really cool!
Sure, some bugs I've found and solved but in general it's really helps me with my ideas.
Thanks.
I'll be happy join for any help.

Best regards, Andrew.
