TabPanel "close" button is a link

I notice that when the TabPanel (when closable: true;) that the close-button: "X" is an href (i.e. <a>)with a pound-sign (#). This causes my page to "jump to the top" when I click on the "X" (close button). Is there any other way to render the close button on the tabs so that they are not hrefs, and thus would not cause my page to auto-scroll to the top?
