To me, one of the most exciting features of AIR is that it can make raw tcp/ip socket connections, something you cant do in a webpage and a requirement o writing apps that interact with services on the internet. To teach myself how to do this, I created the simplest yet still useful application I could think of: a basic telnet client.
There are still some small issues with it, but it is functional.
The included zip is in fact an AIR package, just renamed to .zip for compatibility with the forum (could someone modify the forum software to allow .air uploads please?). You can either open it and look around, or rename it to .air and install it.
