Any Idea when this will come out of Beta?

Was wondering whats going on with the current release? When should we expect the next version? How will the new license of EXT affect EXTND?

Unfortunately figuring out licensing has held up the next release. We have not yet determined how do best deal with the Ext licensing changes, but hope to have it resolved soon.

Either way the next release will likely still be a beta, though we've made some good progress recently in building the components we wanted to have in place for our 1.0 release.

I was wondering if there is any news about the progress of the next version. I know that you work very hard on it, but I am very curious because I'm a big fan of Ext.nd! =D>

From what I know of the GPL 3, isn't all you have to do to release Ext.nd is not include a copy of Ext with it (but give very easy instructions of how your users can put it on their own servers)? As far as I know, there's no problem with the GPL if you're producing a product that also uses GPL'ed code, as long as that code isn't explicitly included with your product.

[You see, these are the concerns people had with Ext when they moved to this license. Here, you have a perfectly good project that's excellently made (and has tons of people wanting it), but is held back by licensing concerns. :((]

Well, since Rich works for Ext now, I'm letting him work through this with Jack S. and Ext JS LLC to figure this one out. In the meantime, the next beta is really just about done and for those interested, I've been emailing out pre-release copies that just include the Ext.nd JS and CSS files (since, again, we have to work out the licensing issues before we can include Ext 2.1 in the next Ext.nd database).
